Righteousness, Nations and the Holocaust

Nearly 300 million people lived under German occupation during the Holocaust. Almost everyone saw the Jews disappear and knew what awaited them. Fewer than 29,000 helped them. Not even one in 10,000!

Those who did deserve the title „Righteous Among the Nations,“ awarded by the Yad Vashem Institute in Jerusalem on behalf of the Jewish people. There is no greater honor.

Anyone who no longer recognizes and names the fascism of Islamists, right-wingers and left-wingers in the here and now is no better than the many fellow travelers in Germany who made the Shoah possible in the first place.
